4 Pidato Bahasa Inggris tentang Sumpah Pemuda yang Membakar Semangat Patriotisme
Let the spirit of Sumpah Pemuda inspire us to take action, embrace our role as future leaders, and contribute to the betterment of our nation. Together, we can create the Indonesia we dream of—a country that is prosperous, just, and united.
Thank you.
Ladies and gentlemen,
Good morning to all of you. Today, we gather to commemorate one of the most significant moments in the history of Indonesia, the Youth Pledge or Sumpah Pemuda. This event, which took place on October 28, 1928, became a monumental symbol of our nation’s spirit of unity.
At that time, young Indonesians from different islands, cultures, and languages made a solemn pledge. They declared their dedication to one motherland, Indonesia, one nation, Indonesia, and one language, Bahasa Indonesia. These three promises were not just words; they were declarations of hope, unity, and a shared future.
In today’s world, we often find ourselves divided by race, religion, or even opinions. Yet, the spirit of the Youth Pledge teaches us something invaluable—that our diversity is not a weakness, but rather our strength. The unity of the past should inspire us to work together for the greater good.
As young Indonesians today, we must remember that we are the future of this country. We must carry forward the spirit of unity, tolerance, and collaboration. It is through our collective efforts that Indonesia can continue to grow and prosper.
